100% duty-rated and operating quietly and efficiently within an offshore barge, our skilled engineers recently completed the first-year service on this versatile KAESER CSD 90 SFC rotary screw compressor with variable speed drive.

Featuring an IE5 Ultra-Premium Efficiency Motor and energy-saving IES2 Power Drive System, the 45kW CSD 90 SFC provides 1.94 to 8.66 m³/min (68.5 to 305.8 cfm) at 7.5 bar, which is utilised for sea pen aeration (SPA) and airlift systems.

Five years before the installation of this energy-efficient electric drive screw compressor and without the electrical power now available from large onboard generators, our customer requested that we provide an urgent compressed air solution for the aeration of the fish farming pens.

Featuring a Premium Efficiency IE3 electric motor alongside tried and proven design enhancements for Aquaculture applications, the KAESER M50E has a flow rate of 5.0 m³/min (180 cfm) at 7 bar (100 psi).

The e-power M50E’s compact design allows these units to operate in challenging locations where space is at a premium. Thanks to robust technology and a star-delta starter, these e-power electric stationary portable compressors are formidable performers. They can operate in temperatures from -10 °C to +40 °C, and a low-temperature version is also optionally available for use in colder conditions.

These MOBILAIR e-power compressors can be used to provide a temporary or permanent compressed air supply. The polyethylene enclosure is resistant to all weather conditions, eliminating the need for an additional protective cover.

Thanks to the electric drive, no engine oil, fuel filter, or engine oil filter changes are necessary. This means longer service intervals and, consequently, less downtime for preventive maintenance on the machine. Savings of up to 25% are possible compared with the energy costs for a portable compressor operated by a diesel engine.
