RS Aqua have launched their long-term rental service for Innovasea’s Aquaculture Intelligence systems to their customers in the UK and Ireland. The service will cover end to end provision of the real time monitoring system, as well as installation, training, and regular equipment service and calibration options. All aspects of the service are customisable to suit the needs of the site.
Innovasea’s wireless monitoring system allows aquaculture producers to monitor environmental conditions online in real time. Farms are populated with a suite of cableless sensors and the data is sent online in real time via a surface hub, over WiFi, cellular or satellite networks. Other monitoring systems, e.g. weather stations, current profilers, and wave and tide sensors, can also be added. All data is secured online and can be viewed in real time on smartphone or computer. The app also includes environmental alarm options.
Over the past two years, the system has been trialled and adopted by Scottish and Irish producers such as Scottish Sea Farms, Greig Seafood, Cooke Aquaculture Scotland, Mowi Scotland and Mowi Ireland. Internationally it is being used by multiple groups, including Cermaq, Mowi, Grieg, Salmar, and others.
