The Aquaculture UK Code of Conduct

Aquaculture UK is committed to fostering a welcoming, professional, and inclusive environment for all participants, including
attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and staff. The following guidelines are designed to ensure that everyone’s experience at
Aquaculture UK is enjoyable, safe, and respectful. By attending, you agree to adhere to these principles: We encourage you to
share this with any of your team who is attending the show.

1. Respect and Inclusivity

  • Treat everyone with respect, professionalism, and courtesy
  • Be inclusive and encourage participation from all individuals, regardless of background, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or any other
    characteristic
  • Avoid disruptive behaviour, such as aggressive or inappropriate language, intimidation, or unwanted advances
  • Respect personal boundaries – both physical and verbal
  • Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated

2. Professional Conduct

  • Engage in constructive discussions and avoid hostile or confrontational interactions
  • Follow the rules and regulations set by the event organisers and the venue
  • Respect all event materials, exhibits, and property

3. Safety and Well-being

  • If you feel unwell or experience any health concerns, take the necessary precautions and seek medical assistance if required
  • Be aware of your surroundings and report any suspicious or concerning behaviour to event staff immediately
  • Do not engage in any behaviour that could put you or others at risk

4. Responsible Networking

  • Build professional connections respectfully and ethically
  • Do not engage in aggressive sales tactics or pressure attendees into business discussions
  • Respect privacy – avoid adding people to marketing lists without their consent
  • Acknowledge and respect personal space during networking interactions

5. Reporting Concerns

  • If you experience or witness any inappropriate behaviour, report it promptly to venue or event staff or through the
    Code of Conduct Incident Report Form or email [email protected] with any
    concerns you have. All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality

  • If you do not feel comfortable addressing an issue yourself, seek assistance from an Aquaculture UK representative who can
    intervene appropriately

6. Consequences of Misconduct
Failure to comply with this code of conduct may result in:

  • A formal warning from event organisers
  • Removal from the event
  • A ban from future Aquaculture UK events
  • Further action as deemed necessary by the organiser
