Aquaculture UK Terms of Entry

Aquaculture UK is an event for the aquaculture community. You may be asked for proof of trade status upon arrival, the organisers may revoke your badge/entry registration, if your trade status cannot be verified.

AS A VISITOR, YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • I will not solicit business anywhere on the show floor, and understand that if I do, I will be asked to leave the event.
  • All exhibitors are at the show to promote their products to visiting industry buyers and do not wish to be sold to on their stands.
  • The entrance to the show closes 1 hour before the show closes. There is no admittance after this time.

CHILDREN AT THE EVENT:

  • Children under 18 will not be admitted to the event without prior agreement between the carer and the organisers.
  • The exhibition is a place of business, and the presence of children is not encouraged.
  • There are a number of health and safety issues to consider including large crowds, and the sampling of alcohol. Please bear this in mind when thinking about bringing a small child to the venue.
  • Children under 2 must be in a pram, pushchair or baby carrier. If you do not have one of these items, you unfortunately will not be allowed into the show.
  • When arriving at the venue, you, as the child’s guardian, will have to sign a waiver that states you understand the health and safety implications of bringing a child into the show. If you do not wish to sign the waiver, then unfortunately you will not be admitted into the show.
  • There are no creche facilities available.

GDPR POLICY

Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd GDPR policy statement

Diversified Business Communications UK aims to always show transparency and fairness in the collection and use of data, and to let individuals know for what purpose their data will be used. We aim to:

  1. Make it clear to individuals who register for our events, websites or publication subscriptions, for what purpose the information is held and that they can unsubscribe at any point.
  2. We will only hold data for a given period.  If we have had no transaction or activity with a contact on our database, it will be deleted after a maximum of 5 years.  This applies to all data, including customers, staff, job candidates and any other information we hold on individuals.
  3. Information held is confidential and will be used only for the purpose it is intended and for which permission has been granted access to data to third parties unless permission has been granted).
  4. We must be able to show where we obtained our data from.
  5. All registration forms must explain that due to the rules, we need consent that our customers are happy to be contacted about directly relevant events, to be mailed a magazine, or to be contacted by email, post or phone.  Individuals who register with us must be told that they can withdraw consent at any time.
  6. Visitors to events will, in addition, be informed via a sign at the entrance and a notice in the show guide, that by allowing an exhibitor or sponsor to scan their badge, or in any other way providing details, they are giving consent for that exhibitor or sponsor to contact them about their services.  They may at any time contact the exhibitor or sponsor to withdraw consent.
  7. You may update information that you previously submitted, or request to be removed from our mailing list by sending an email to [email protected]
  8. Individuals will at any time have the right to require information about the data being held and processed about themselves, and Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd must respond to such a request within 28 days.
  9. We will only collect or process data where we believe there is a legitimate interest.
  10. All staff are trained to understand their obligations.

This policy is under regular review and may be adapted pending legislative changes.

BADGE POLICY

I understand that by choosing to allow my badge to be scanned by an exhibitor when at Ocean Business, I will be providing the exhibitor with my personal data including name, address, email and telephone number. I consent to this personal data being used to contact me about their products or services and understand that this exhibitor may transfer this data outside of the European Economic Area for these purposes and I consent to such transfer of my data.
I also understand and agree that my personal data will be held and used by the organiser of Aquaculture UK, Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd, and any third party hosting provider acting on its behalf, in order to run the event and for analysing visitor traffic with a view to improving the event experience for visitors.

Put simply – your visitor badge is your electronic business card. Please only allow your badge to be scanned by exhibitors that you wish to hear from post-event – allowing them to scan your badge is your way of opting into to receiving further information from them. You will be able to withdraw your consent for them to contact you at any point.

Visitors failing to comply with the Terms of Entry may be asked to leave the event.

Thank you for understanding and agreeing to these basic courtesies which will help to make sure that everyone has a pleasant and productive day.

Please note: Diversified Communications UK, the organisers, have to scan your badge upon entry at the show to monitor the number of visitors within the event at any point.

ADMISSION POLICY

Attendees to the Aquaculture UK exhibition, workshops and conference should be involved in or have some connections or interest in the ocean technology industry and associated industries. All attendees must not allow their badges to be worn by anyone else.

All Attendees to Aquaculture UK are not permitted to distribute publicity material or solicit for business without the written consent of the Organisers. The Organisers reserve the right to exclude or remove anyone from Aquaculture UK and the venue, who does not comply with this policy or who they reasonably consider are likely to break these rules.

Confirmation of your registration for Aquaculture UK

Once you have completed the registration process, a confirmation email will be sent to you. Approximately 3 weeks prior to the event, you will receive a detailed email providing further information to assist you with your planning, participation and details of entry.

LIABILITY POLICY

Attendees agree to make no claim for any reason whatsoever against the organiser, its employees, contractors, insurers, committees, agents and sponsoring organisations (collectively known as the organiser) for loss, theft, damage or destruction of goods, or for any injury, including death to himself, employees, agents or representatives; nor for any damage to its business for failure to hold the event as scheduled. The organiser shall bear no responsibility for the safety of the attendees, or their personal property.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO MATERIAL POLICY

Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event, without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd may use the photograph/video in publications or other media material produced, used or contracted by Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd including but not limited to: brochures, invitations, books, newspapers, magazines, television, websites, etc. By participating in a Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd event or by failing to notify Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd, in writing, your desire to not have your photograph used, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify Diversified Business Communications UK Ltd from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.
